Mumbai escort Amit Agarwal, 31, died after being shot at his home in the capital city on Sunday evening, police said.

The former IT professional was shot twice in the head and the left side of the chest and suffered severe injuries.

Police said the shooting took place in the early hours of Sunday morning at Agarwals home.

Police said they recovered a handgun and a rifle.

The accused, a resident of a neighbouring locality, is absconding.

A team of investigators from Mumbai’s police station has been rushed to the crime scene to probe the shooting.

Agarwas home is on a street called Shahra Road.
