If you are looking to make a living as an escort, you might want to reconsider, according to a recent study.

Researchers from Emory University’s Center for International Studies looked at the labor practices of 2,300 women in the escort industry in Tennessee, including the costs involved in hiring an escort and negotiating their contracts.

According to the study, the average escort working in the state earns about $2,000 per month, or $13,000 annually, and is expected to make about $300,000 a year, the Associated Press reported.

The study was conducted by Emory researchers and analyzed a sample of more than 4,000 escort agencies and brothels, the AP reported.

The researchers found that women who are hired by escorts typically work in jobs ranging from housekeepers to maids and housekeepers do not usually receive tips for cleaning, washing and other household chores, according the AP.

The average wage for an escort in the study was $15,000 to $18,000.

The study also found that the majority of escort agencies did not offer women full-time, full-benefit paid time off, according a spokesperson for Emory.

The researchers said that while escorts have their own income, it is still “a precarious and risky occupation.”

The study said that the costs associated with escorting can include a lot of money.

According to the AP, some escorts are required to work nights, which can be very dangerous, the research team wrote.

Some escorts also work weekends, which is not a common practice, the researchers wrote.

Emory’s researchers also said that escort agencies can have negative impacts on their workers, including stress, depression and anxiety, and can have a negative impact on their communities, as well as on the families of their clients.

The AP reported that one escort agency reported that more than 80 percent of the workers who participated in the survey reported feeling depressed and anxiety-related problems, the study said.
